Tall case brass dial clock, 1790-1795.

Musical cherry tall-case clock. The hood has a cove molded broken-scroll pediment with three brass ball-and-spire finials on fluted plinths above fluted pilasters, a molded arch above the door, free-standing fluted columns at the front corners and a glazed door with an astragal top. Waist with cove molding at the top, fluted quarter columns at with brass capitals at the front corners and a rectangular case door. Base with cove and ovolo moldings at the top, a shaped skirt and French feet. Engraved dial with roman hour numerals and arabic minute numerals, engraved c-scrolls, vines and flowers in the spandrels and lunette. In the lunette, there is a selector hand that points to one of six possible tunes, the names of the tunes are engraved above and are "Elliots Minuit, Hob Nob Rakes of Rodney, Fr. Kings Minuit, Over the Water to Charly" and "Maid of the Mill." Inside the chapter ring there is a seconds dial, engraved decoration of vines, scrolls and flowers, a calendar aperture and the inscription "Daniel Burnap E Windsor." Eight day movement.
